Sanskrit Vedanta aims to provide an understanding of ancient Sanskrit literature and Vedanta philosophy through a firm rooting in the Sanskrit language.
Courses
Introduction to Sanskrit
संस्कृतप्रवेश:
We begin our introduction to Sanskrit via short sentences applicable to day-to-day activities. Simultaneously, we will teach short Sanskrit devotional stotras, as well as Sanskrit Subhashitas that are packed with ancient wisdom from the last 5000 years but still applicable in today's world.
Appreciation of Sanskrit Classical Literature
संस्कृतसाहित्यामृतरसास्वाद:
Develop an appreciation for Indian culture through the knowledge of Sanskrit classical dramas such as Shakuntala and Mrichchhakatika and mahakavyas like Raghuvamsha, Kumarasambhava. There is no prerequisite of a background in Sanskrit for this course.
Advanced Sanskrit
संस्कृतप्राविण्यम्
Delve into the elegant beauty of Sanskrit grammar using Panini’s Ashtadyayi and classical grammar text from the seventeenth century - Bhattoji Dixit’s Siddhant Kaumudi. Through these texts, the course aims to build aptitude in order to understand secular Sanskrit literature.
The essence of Vedanta
वेदान्तसारम्
Build your own life's philosophy by learning Vedantic concepts taught through famous stotras of Adi Shankarachary and subsequently through Geeta and Upanishadas. There is no prerequisite of a background in Sanskrit for this course.
